Amanda Collins, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Amanda (“Mandy”) Collins is originally from Southern Illinois. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Murray State University in 2014 before continuing her education at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2018.
After graduation, Dr. Collins moved to Evansville, Indiana, where she practiced for several years. During that time, she met her wife, Tosha. She later took time away from clinical practice to stay home with their son, Sloan, while also helping run their family’s grooming and boarding business and caring for their hobby farm, which includes pigs, goats, chickens, dogs, and cats.
When she returned to the veterinary field, Dr. Collins worked in relief positions throughout Southern Indiana before deciding to settle closer to home. She is excited to be part of the team and continue building relationships with clients and their pets.
Dr. Collins has a special interest in alternative medicine, nutrition, and behavior. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, hiking, reading, and working on home projects with her family. A fun fact about Dr. Collins is that she was once an avid deer hunter and now follows a vegan lifestyle.
